Tap, tap, hello! Hi! Is this thing on?
Ending this blog hiatus because it is January and it feels right to jump back in with a little goal-setting and vision casting. While I’m clearly not on the “get it all figured out by Jan 1” plan, I have been taking the last month to reflect on 2018 and dream about 2019. I’m sharing it with hopes that it will encourage you in your own endeavors and to give you a little look at where I feel stirred to dig deeper this year.
I’ve used Powersheets to help direct my goal-setting for 4 years now, and if you haven’t looked into them before, check out this post! Powersheets help me to.…
Identify areas of my life that I’d like to stretch/deepen/pursue growth
Look back at previous year(s) goals. See what did/didn’t work.
Create one yearly “big goal” for each area of improvement. I also call these “guidelines for living” because these statements guide my decision making.
Set monthly “little goals” to help me progress towards the “big goals”.
Following the above steps has been super fruitful the past few years. Monthly, I’m tracking my efforts, holding myself accountable and making progress. Annually, I’m re-calibrating myself to make sure I’m actually becoming the person I want to be, which is powerful and necessary, because it seems time just zooms right by.
And now, my Big Goals for 2019! Disclaimer: I’m recycling most of my 2018 big goals—-just a few edits for this year’s version! The biggest changes in my goals will happen monthly, when I’ll have new action steps to help get me on track. The Bible verses are listed for added accountability and encouragement. :)

Serve my family with love and joy! Live out my vocation as a wife and mom to the fullest. Proverbs 31:25
Treat my days like they belong to God, since they do. Get accountable about where I spend time so I can focus those minutes on what matters most. Romans 12:11
Treat my body like it's Christ dwelling place, because, hallelujah, it is. Be intentional with exercise, healthy eating, regular bedtime. 1 Corinthians 6:13
Build deep friendships. Share life with the people around us because community is where it's at. Sirach 6:14
Use my creative gifts to glorify God, support my family, share my story and serve others. Run Lettered Life with gratitude, grace and creativity! Ephesians 2:10
Treat money, time and possessions like they are God's. Again, because they are. Give like Jesus, live with “palms open" and take care of what we have. 2 Corinthians 9:7
Commit to the renewing of my mind. Gain knowledge that helps me grow in virtue and wisdom as a mom, wife, friend, daughter, extended family member, business owner, Catholic. Romans 12:2
Foster strong family bonds by investing in each other and our home environment. Creating a warm, loving environment that encourages growth, joy, creativity, fun, silliness, compassion, wonder and bravery. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
And there we have it! 2019, let’s get this party started.
Do you have a word for the year or a goal or 9 goals? Please share in the comments—-I’d love to hear and cheer ya on!
