June 2016 Goals | Lettered Life Goal Setting

Goals | June 2016

June 2, 2016

JUNE, friends! It's June!! And there are about a hundred reasons why that fills my heart with joy. But reason number one? It's the month we'll get to hold Baby Bristow! Hopefully that day will come sooner rather than later, but little one, you make your appearance whenever you are ready, and know that we'll be here to cuddle when you arrive. :)

I'm also just a summer girl, so bring on the warm days and watermelons along with Baby B and we've got a season I couldn't be more excited about.

With so much changing happening in the month ahead, I'm going to let you in on a little secret about my goal for June: I only have one. And it's to have a baby.

June 2016 Goals from Lettered Life | Goal Setting

As you can tell from my Powersheets, this month what matters to me is soaking up these special days and taking newborn life one day at a time with Austin---figuring it all out as we go. I'm also getting real crazy and also throwing in 3 daily goals into the mix: to pray for my husband, pray for the baby and to drink lots of water. I think those will be blessings and live-savers as we transition to a new season, so hold me to it. :)

The shop will still be open, in fact, I sure hope you'll pop over and check out all the new items! (Onesies! Mugs! Dish Towels! Pillow covers!) My working hours will surely look a little different, but I'm excited for the changes ahead and life with our new shop sidekick.

And before I wrap things up, here's a little update about how May played out...

Highlights from May!

  • Baby "Bee" baby shower brunch and pedis with sweet friends. Such a treasure!
  • Getting our last "just the two of us" dates in!  We especially loved eating out at the North Harbor Club.
  • Memorial Day cookout with some of our church pals
  • Cooking club "reunion" at Katie's new beautiful home
  • Finishing another fun collection for Primitives by Kathy!

How I did with May goals:

  • Get new products in and photographed. YES! They are HERE!
  • Finish next collection for Primitives by Kathy. Yes! Can't wait to share some of those illustrations in the future.
  • Plan freezer meals, grocery shop and load that freezer! Yes! This brought me so much peace. (I hear this might be a nesting thing.) Our freezer is happy and hubs is pumped, so big wins there.
  • Keep exercising until baby! (And by "exercising" I mean keep moving however is comfortable for baby and me. Just want to stay healthy and keep those endorphins coming.) Yup! Walking and shuffling and occasionally going to the elliptical, but it's been so nice outside, I definitely prefer sticking outdoors. I'm deeply thankful for a smooth pregnancy!

Cheers to SUMMER and a month full of sunshine! What's on your radar for June?! Let me know below---I'd love to cheer you on!

Thankful for these cute valentines! 💕 Sending love from us to you!
Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! ❤️ Squeeze those loved ones and enjoy that chocolate! #LetteredLifeQuotes
💕💕💕 Heart shaped cookies for a galentine’s gathering tonight! Happy {early} Valentine’s Day, friends! I hope your week is filled with kindness and reminders of God who is Love!
It’s about time our cooking club had some matching apparel! Made these aprons for my dear, sweet friends and how cute are they wearing them?! It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 5 years of gathering around a table with these ladies, and I’m so grateful to do life with them. Truth: the first time we met, most of us didn’t know each another—-we had one mutual friend who pulled us together. AND NOW, I can’t imagine my life in Charlotte without these friends. Laughed-until-we-cried over guacamole, enchiladas and dessert tacos last night, and I’m already looking forward to our next one. God is good and these friendships are treasure!⠀⠀

If you haven’t read Bread and Wine by @sniequist, we couldn’t recommend it enough! It inspired this thing and I’m not kidding when I say it changed my life. Proof is in that first photo! Thank you, Shauna! 💕#breadandwineclt
Hi friends! Today I wanted to share something fun that was a highlight of our family’s 2018: my husband’s TEDx talk! @austin.bristow presented at TEDx CLT in October and well, in my humble and biased opinion, rocked it. His talk is on personal freedom and why the right mindset to freedom is important to long term success. He’s smart and funny (but don’t tell him that because let’s keep his ego in check) and I hope his words cheer you on in your endeavors this year! Link to watch is in my bio.⠀

Whoosh friends, it’s been a little while since I hopped on here to share! January has been off to a wonderful start and I can hardly believe we’re almost 3 weeks in! This year, I’ve been diving into my goal setting (#powersheets for life!) and I am looking forward to sharing those thoughts soon. But until then, here’s a snowy quote for those of you bundled up and facing that winter weather. Please make a snow angel for me! ❄️ #LetteredLifeQuotes
2018: I’m so thankful for all the good you had in store for us. Thank you for the love and light, and especially for these people right here. 2019, here we come! 📷: @alexandriamooneyphotography
If you’re hoping for some Lettered Life under your tree, remind Santa that tomorrow (Wednesday) is the last day to order for Christmas delivery! 😉 It has been a JOY to be a part of your Christmas season and I’m so grateful for you! I’m the happiest elf in NC getting your packages out the door and hope they bring lots of smiles as you gift (and maybe receive!) some Lettered Life items this year!
A note from the elves (and by elves, I mean me and my packaging tape 😉): just a few more days to order from the shop to get your items for Christmas! While ornaments are sold out, it’s not too late to order a custom stamp, hat, mug or dish towel! Link in bio to check ‘em out!
Oh what fun!! These two in the winter wonderland outside is like a December dream come! Also, who needs a sled when you have a laundry basket and a resistance band? Grateful for this sweet, snowy day.
